This was the climactic final episode, and I watched it wondering what choices the two of them would make.
However, I had a feeling that no matter what happened, it would leave me feeling heavy-hearted.
No matter how many times I watch it, seeing Nico and Kate go still leaves me with a sense of helplessness.
It was a choice made with happiness in mind, but ultimately, it was merely a departure from the path that had been laid out for them; it wasn't an act of laying a new path.
It might seem like they made the choice themselves, but it was a means they were forced to choose, and I suppose what bothers me is that they were in a situation where they had no choice but to do so.
